The Capitol Theatre is listed in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook with 914 seats. In 1943 it is listed with 834 seats.

No!, Looking at other photos in the set and comparing them to interior photographs in the book ‘The Silver Screens of Wirrel’ by Clive Garner, it is the former Capitol Cinema/ABC Wallasey. The former Gaumont Palace/Apollo 6 never had a balcony, it was a stadium plan cinema.
