My local Regal here is the same. The recliners are wearing out. Two weeks ago in the RPX I had pieces of the recliners all over my shirt. They have general signs that show Auditorium 1-6 and Auditorium 7-15 RP. Each individual auditorium has what’s playing.

Yeah the Warner Cinerama had huge screens in both auditoriums. The Rivoli screen was great too. I saw several films there before they Twined it.
The screen at the Ziegfeld was always wall to wall. There was nothing shoebox about it when I loved there. It had side masking and top masking. For 70 MM films all the masking side and top were open. For 2.35 scope the side masking was open and the top masking came down slightly. Even flat 1.85 the screen was huge.
AMC sucks
The name has changed but nothing else has. I was there Saturday night and I just talked to the GM who said it’s in name only.

After Joe Torres got transferred the next few managers Vincent and Daisy sucked. Daisy went onto manage the Criterion Center.

Considering AMC doesn’t like having smaller theater this is good that they refurbished the sign. Thanks Ed Solero for the pic
@$$hole AMC strikes again with another Carmike location. UGH
Another Carmike location closed by AMC they totally suck.
I saw Boogie Nights there
I agree with MarkP. It is such a beautiful theater. That should be the new home of the Tony Awards. I had no clue how beautiful this theater was.
I always was hoping they would rename it the Selwyn. I am not a fan of renaming a theater after people nobody knows.
Are they using all 4 screens?
This theater is right next to what was once the Maurice Linnell Cookie Factory. I am glad the theater came back as the cookie factory did not.
So what did the article say?
I am surprised AMC is keeping this open. They don’t like small theaters
That’s great news. Can you possibly get a picture of the screen JonFB.
I do hope this drive in opens

This is a decent size screen
Oh no. Why is the Hyde Park not opening
Thanks mOOse1111. I was there opening day in 1988. It was one of myt favorite theaters in Tampa.
UGH another Carmike/AMC merger closure. I really HATE AMC
Is this theater still open after CMX bankruptcy
Maybe some other chain will take this over
It was part of the ticket sale. I know the price was much more than a regular movie for that 2 week engagement
