Have you thought of getting on the Nashville Newspaper Archieve just to look at the old ads.I spent two days doing it,Had I had a printer I would have run out of paper,I enjoy writing lists of the Features and putting them on CT.
Movies that were booked at the ART THEATRE. June 1 1968 “THE HUNT” rated X June 14 1968 rated X “ELVIRA,MADIGAN” August 30 1968 “POOR COW” rated X June 13 1969 “TO INGRID MY LOVE LISA” rated X
July 4 1969 “GREETINGS”
August 15 1969 “THE GRADUATE” [S.M.A rating}
June 8 1971 “SIGN OF AQUARIUS” rated X. “BONNIE and Clyde” played here to, admission was a dollar a seat. I guess all the X -rated movies were considered Art Films?

Got to shoot Spotlight last night on a horrible play,but that is show business,Hadn’t been in there in a couple of years and while it is far different from my days there the memories flooded back.Glad Augusta Saved Her!!!!!!!!!!
Sorta a weird Triple theatre,Guess Plitt was right,but often a discount house will make money and heck you could walk the print across the street.Amazed how many cities have no bargin theatres.We have seven plex $2,00 house that does well.
