This photo is somewhat indistinct, but the caption places the theater on the left on West Farmington in Hartford. The date is 1933. The films on the marquee are “Beloved” and “Convention City”: http://tinyurl.com/zsj9h
The Beach was in the middle of the block, on the east side of the street between South Carolina and New York Avenues. I went to my first adult film there in the late 70s. I was fifteen or so and tried to look older to get past the usher, who couldn’t have cared less. The admission was $5, which was a lot for those days.
“I am Curious Yellow” was playing at one of the Atlantic Avenue theaters when I was in elementary school. There was quite a fuss at the time for such a harmless softcore movie.
Seeing as there are no other theaters listed for Tonopah, I imagine that this 1940 photo shows the Butler. The caption puts the location on Main Street. It’s admittedly not a great picture: http://tinyurl.com/m3ylc
The reason is I am surfing the net while I work. Sometimes I don’t see the other picture until a few minutes later. I will try to consolidate in the future.
Here is a 1927 photo:

Well, it wasn’t a great picture anyway.
So much for that. Take my word that there is a picture of this theater on the Library of Congress website.
Here is a photo from May 1941:

I like the theater. You can have the snow, though:

If you look down Main Street on the left, you will see the marquee of what I believe was the Palace in 1948:

This is supposed to be a 1913 photo, but I would put it in the 1920s:

You have a good memory, Bob.

Here is the page since the link I posted yesterday is not working now:

I don’t know why these LOC links fail so soon after I post them. Here is the page – maybe I will have better luck with that:
