The Calvin Theatre is closed. From the Missourian dated 04/21/14 “The Calvin Theatre opened in Washington Sept. 5, 1909 with a stock company called "Culhane’s Comedians” presenting a play titled “For a Girls Love.” Later that month, the theatre began showing moving pictures. Today the theatre still stands, but it is closed.

In 1926 there was another Ballard Theatre that seated 200. Anoyone have info on that theatre? 1926 thru 1929 both the Bagdad Theatre and the Ballard Theatre were listed as open.
