The Orpheum Theatre was opened on April 16, 1911. By 1942 it had been renamed Valley Theatre, so named for its location within the Fox River Valley, was located in what is today the Upper Main Street Historic District in downtown Menasha, Wisconsin. It was operated by Fox West Coast Theatres (Milwaukee Division) Fox Milwaukee Theatres Inc.
In 1964, the Valley Theatre was demolished for the relocation of the First National Bank of Menasha which built a Mid-Century Modern building a few doors away from its former site. That building is also gone, and the site is now a landscaped parking lot.
