The 1927 Film Daily Yearbook lists one movie theater in North Abington, the Peerless Theatre with 300 seats, open 2 days per week. The seat count is the same as the Capitol, so I wonder if it was the same theater??

rsalters (Ron Salters) commented about Wollaston Theatre on Nov 10, 2010 at 1:48 pm

The 1927 Film Daily Yearbook lists the Wollaston Theatre which was then just opening. It says it presents movies 2 days per week. There was a theatrical stock company in residence during the Wollaston’s first years so that would have limited movie presentations. It also says that it has only 400 seats, which is way too low.

The Majestic is listed in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook with 845 seats and open daily. They also list 2 other movie venues in Easthampton: “Mfg. Co.” with 918 seats, open 4 days/week; and “W. Boylston”. I guess that “Mfg. Co.” may have been a company auditorium.
