I see another S. Charles Lee theater in the UCLA database, called the Chino Theater. Does anyone know if this theater is listed here under a different name?
I can’t help but think of a clothing store that my mother used to patronize in South Jersey called the Ideal – Their slogan was “It’s more than a quonset hut!”, but it really wasn’t. There were quite a few quonset huts still existing in New Jersey in the 1960’s, but I think they are all gone now.
There was a discussion of a Fox Theater on Harbor Boulevard in the LA Times today as the theater was later converted to a restaurant called Angelo and DaVinci’s. I am guessing that the above theater may not be what the Times was referring to in the article.
