June 6 1970 “THE ARRANGEMENT” and “ON THE WAS TO THE CRUSADES I MET A GIRL WHO…”{what a title,never heard of the movie}.

had nice screen too.I never Worked the MILLER as a theatre Employee,did work there as a Stagehand after the movies were gone.

I spent most of time finding movies for the Imperial,National Hills and Columbia 1 and 2 Theatres to put on CT.I did jot down a few of the MILLER’s Movies here are just a few:

June 6 1970 love Clint,“PAINT YOUR WAGON” playing.not one of his favorites.Playing 4 shows daily.

“THE VISTOR” playing Nov.2 1979 a cheap horror movie starring Glenn Ford and John Huston.“WHAT!”

March 3 1975 has “LENNY” still being held over.

“TOWERING INFERNO” leaves the MILLER for WEIS CINEMAS,Big Screen to the joke of town.This on March 3 1975.

April 4 1975 the MILLER has First Run “GODFATHER II” April 4 1975

Nov.28 1969 a sure fire winner,John Wayne “THE UNFEATED”

July 7 1967 the Miller was home to 007.“YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE” opens.
“DIRTY DOZEN” across the Street at the IMPERIAL.

“WATTSSTAX” at the Miller a black Woodstock. Rated R on Feb 24 1978.

June 17 1977 the Miller, like Weis Cinemas used the term “sennsround” loosly “ROLLERCOASTER” opens but not with the Sound effects.The Imperial was the only theatre to have that,I know I help put them in and Universal still owes me and a couple other Ushers from National Hills for the Work. I ain’t forgetting.

Dec 25 1970 Musical “SCROOGE” opens.

June 27 1970 “PAINT YOUR WAGON” is ending its last days at the MILLER.

“COTTON COMES TO HARLEM” pretty good Black film Rated R,Opens Sept 11 1970.

June 20 1975 and first run “TOMMY”.

August 9 1968 has “BANDOLERO” playing. carrying the “M” RATING.

June 13 1980,we were excited,but “THE ISLAND"did not turn out to be the Summer film we thought it would.

Dec.25 1979 “AMITYVILLE HORROR”

Nov.21 1980 “THE CREEPER” seats 99 cents.

October 31 1980 Charlton Heston usually did good in Augusta his “THE AWAKENING” does poor.

June 4 1976 “ODE TO BILLY JOE”

March 26 1976 “DRAGON DIES HARD” “THREE THE HARD WAY”

April 30 1976 “TAXI DRIVER” opens to huge crowds.

Dec.19 1975 “LAST SUMMER” Richard Thomas film made much earlier,they were selling it on the WALTONS on TV.An R rated film for the WALTONS crowd.I can’t explain it,couldn’t then.

June 22 1979. “ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ” Clint Does great.Sat with James Brown in the Balcony on the last show after paper work was done and had a shared a BUD.I think the IMPERIAL was his favorite Theatre in Augusta.

April 6 1979 “HAIR” is playing.

Jan 26 1979 “SUPERMAN” is still doing good business,This would be one of the last epics to play here first run.

Nov 18 1977 Rudy Ray Moore GEORGIA PREMIERE of “PETEY WHEATSTRAW” Moore performs on Stage before the movie LIVE. Rated R.

June 17 1977 “HERETIC” opens Dies fast.

Sept 15 1978 DIRTY HARRY TRIPLE FEATURE, “DIRTY HARRY”,“MAGNUM FORCE” And “THE ENFORCER”.

Sept 21 1979 and Sammy Davis Jr. in “SAMMY STOPS THE WORLD” plays.Was Augusta the only town to play this?Rated G.

June 2 1961 like most cities with TV stations often the local TV show aimed at kids would host a theatre party.Augusta had Trooper Terry and a couple of others at TV6,Channel 12 had STEAMBOAT BILL on Stage for prizes and Cartoons plus a feature.

May 14 1976 “GRIZZLY” “JAWS” rip-off filmed in NORTH GEORGIA.Plays at WEIS CINEMAS.

March 26 1976 Finally got a date on seeing “CAMELOT” here with Beverly. I hated this place would never give out passes to other theatre chains. On the other side was the X rated “JOYS OF A WOMAN” she wasn’t going there.LOL.

June 8 1979,Typical WEIS rip off advertising “sennsround' for "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA”.Imperial theatre was the only theatre to use that Universal product.And they still owe me and three other ushers for putting the Speakers in for “EARTHQUAKE” I ain’t forgetting.

few Flicks Joe Goode had, 6-31 -71 “GUESS WHAT WE LEARNED IN SCHOOL TODAY” Rated R,Next week he was playing,and it is hard to believe,“GONE WITH THE WIND”,Never would have guessed it. Opening June 25 1971 was “GIMME SHELTER”, “BENJAMIN” rated X plays 8-24-69.
