I worked at the 76th West Dodge drive in back in the late 70s. My first job. Loved going to the movies here, was close to home and always had good lineups! Miss it dearly.

By the late 70s it had become pretty run-down. But still have fond memories of the horror movies I saw there in my youth with my dad and brother. I remember turning away from The Amityville Horror on opening night due to the mile long line of traffic trying to get into the Skyview.

Six-West wasn’t a wonderful venue to see movies in- small theaters, and you could hear sounds from the movies playing next to you. Overpriced. But still, has a place in my teenage years, as I saw several movies there (Saturn 3, Prophecy, Cuba, among others) not to mention a midnight show here and there.

My all-time favorite theater. Right down the street from where I lived as a teen on 84th st. Saw Alien there on opening day 5/25/1979. The Shining on 6/13/1980. Wonderfully huge screen, great seating. An icon lost forever.

Loved this drive-in, saw loads of horror movies back in 1979-1980 here. Dawn of the dead being the most memorable :)

Saw many movies here as a teenager in the 70s. 99cent admission. Saw Animal House, Love at First Bite, Meatballs, all multiple times as it was only a buck to get in :)
