For a brief time as the adjacent shopping complex was demolished prior to re-building, the solid construction of the theatre was revealed. It gave its own demolishers great difficulty, despite the use of very heavy machinery. It was built to last for hundreds of years, as was apparent to the many sad people who, like me, daily gathered to watch the struggle.
