This theatre was located actually at 705 two mile PKY. 703 is the gas station.
I worked here a long time. Loved the place. Auditorium #3 had the largest screen in Nashville, with exception to the THX houses at Fountain Square. #3 also featured Kintek full stereo sound.
Bell forge 10 showed it’s last films last night.
It is now closed due to declining attendance. That area has gotten pretty rough. It was already rough way back…I was robbed there in 1994.
It’s been sold to some islamic foundation.
I was manager there 1996-7, and while the bellevue 12 might have more character, the Bellevue 8 is a more intimate theatre.
No,
The Mall cinemas were 1,2,3
Bell Road was a detached theatre that was 4,5,6.
It was the district office for Consolidated Theatres before Carmike bought them out.
The Land that hickory 8 sits on, is where Bell Road Cinemas used to be. They demolished a 3 screen, and built an 8 screen on the same spot.

I miss it.
it was a 2 screen. It was named the “Varsity Twin”
It was replaced by the thoroughbred 20.
I have no idea why they didn’t use it longer, it was one of the top 2 in Nashville.
Was an assistant MGR here during the summer of 1994…played such titles as Forrest Gump, True Lies, Clear and Present danger, Maverick.
