Bell forge 10 showed it’s last films last night.
It is now closed due to declining attendance. That area has gotten pretty rough. It was already rough way back…I was robbed there in 1994.
It’s been sold to some islamic foundation.

Do not think they will be showing any movies.
This theatre had one 70mm house. I remember the manager, Dana, invited some of the competition’s managers to come see ‘Indiana Jones/Temple of Doom’ the night before it opened, summer of 1984. I worked for Consolidated at the time. We never got Paramount product, as our buyer had ticked them off over something. That eventually changed, but can you imagine not getting any of Paramount’s films?
Thanks GMNash,I saw on the news last night that the city has other ideas for the building, but the new owners want to keep with their plan. From one old manager to another welcome to Cinema Treasures.
I missed that. I wonder if Carmike removed all their fixtures? I’d love to get my hands on a piece of screen. And, thanks tls… I’ve been reading comments for some time on here, just never registerd to add my two cents.
O.K.Give us three cents!
June 3rd, 1983 grand opening ad in photo section.
December 18th, 1987 grand opening ad as 10-plex also in the photo section. AMC also opened the Fountain Square 14 on the same day.
GMNash: You mentioned Dana…was that Dana Moore? Anyway, I was there opening day in the booth. The district manager, Gene Patterson was there, and had a heart attack and was carried out on a stretcher. He died the next morning. Mr. P was a great guy, a bit gruff on the outside, but a nice guy once you got to know him. Not the best opening….
