Per an employee at the theater, they’re updating to put recliners in every auditorium. Theaters 8 and 9 are currently not operational and had their regular seats demolished/taken down. Recliners expected to be in at some point in 2025. Don’t know how I feel about this as I think capacity is kind of an issue in that theater and recliners reduce that capacity.
I think one of the screens on the second floor does have properly functioning masking as I’ve seen it go off sometimes but a lot of the screens definitely do not use the masking.
Saw someone I follow on Twitter has posted that the theater is for sure open with pictures. It can be officially confirmed as reopened if it wasn’t already.
Now the regal app seems to be indicating that nothing is showing on Monday besides a Betty White fathom event that got cancelled. Even Fandango got rid of that singular scream showing for Thursday you were able to buy tickets to. I’m not even sure if it will be operating by Monday anymore. This is very interesting.
Additionally the Fandango website doesn’t even list all of the future showings past this Sunday. It just lists that Scream showing on Thursday (which was actually something else last night. It seemingly just got changed)
Rumors are swirling around on Twitter that this theater might be closed. No confirmation yet but it was noted there’s no first run movies with showtimes up past this Friday.
This theater seems to be closed now. Clicking it on this full theater list leads to a dead page and google lists it as permanently closed. https://www.regmovies.com/static/en/us/theatre-list#CA
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/cineworld-group-and-imax-expand-partnership-with-agreement-for-15-new-imax-with-laser-systems-in-regal-theatres-300890229.html This press release says the imax here is being upgraded to laser. I personally think this one doesn’t really need a laser, but that’s just me.
Unpopular opinion but I liked it better when there was no reserved seating. Me just being able to show up somewhat early and just find a seat I liked is much better to me. However I did notice they stopped turning on lights before the credits were over (thank god). However I notice this theater pillarboxes a ton of their films.
Yeah man thats so true. I saw the disaster artist last friday and the lights were on. THEY DIDN’T KNOW THERE WAS A POST CREDITS SCENE. So here I am watching this scene with the light turned on barely being able to see it.
I should take some pictures of this theater the next time I go there. They recently changed some of the murals in the lobby and there are just no lobby pictures here. Maybe I’ll take one or 2 pics of the pretty bad imo 2nd floor (seriously it sucks. projection is kinda poor). I like this theater though. it’s not really “bad”, just not the best

Took them long enough to add laser.
I love how this looks nothing like the final theater’s design.

ruined marquee
Do you know when they removed the “auxillary refreshment stand”?
Sorry for not keeping my word on taking those pictures. The ones posted by ridethectrain are great. Thanks for doing a better job than I ever would.

yeah same as before someone needs to edit this
I know this is weird but regal owns the theater now http://www.regmovies.com/theatres/theatre-folder/regal-camana-bay-stadium-6-9504
Huh. I never thought of it that way. Maybe I’m just kinda self entitled to ny quality lol.
yeah lol
@moviebuff maybe that’s why I prefer Regal. Cause i don’t like McDonald’s :P
I came here earlier to see “Your Name” and I got popcorn. The popcorn was basically crumbs! Other than that this theater is fine.
I’ve gone here a couple of times to see movies. I personally like the theater
