This is a picture of the day after the fire that destroyed the old Newport House where the Latchis Theatre was located. My dad, Joe Murdy did all of the Heating and Plumbing for John Latchis back in the 1950’s and 1960’s. And my mom Peggy Murdy was the Mgr of the Latchis Newport when I was born in 1956.
