Remember it well. John Waters films, Hitchcock restored films, Warner Brothers Cartoons Film Festivals, even old re-released westerns.

Didn’t Mid-States theaters become USA Theaters before Loews took over?
My first inside theater I remember going to: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I also saw Superman: The Movie and Animal House. In its later days, they had Hitchcock and Woody Allen film festivals.
Yes, Monty Python and the Holy Grail had midnight showings in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
