The Twin Drive-In began as the single screen Twin Hi-Ways Drive-In at 4300 E. Main showing sub-run double features. The grand opening ad is at far left and its first fireworks July 4th ad is upper right. In 1958, the theater became the Twin Drive-in Theatres advertising the East Screen and the West Screen (see bottom middle). But when competition came about in 1962, the Twin made the decision to go adult on East Screen (see bottom right) leading to a flurry of activity including a fairly length court battle pitting owner/operator Chemline v. the City of Grand Prairie.
