After a soft launch on June 28, 1948, the long running Salem Drive-In Theater would have its Grand Opening on June 28, 1948 with “Red Stallion.” The theater would be joined for a brief period by its sister, “South Salem Drive-In Theater” necessitating the change to the North Salem Drive-In Theater.
