The Badin Road Drive-In opened on March 11, 1948 with James Cagney in “Each Dawn I Die” & Tex Ritter in “Starlight Over Texas” by Gilbert Faw and Lewis Whitley who had also opened the Concord Airport Drive-In Theatre two months earlier.
