  • <p>Opened as the Drive-In Theatre on May 27, 1949 with “Four Faces West.”</p>

  • <p>The Airport Drive-In opens on April 17, 1954 with owner J. Robert Hoff making a grand opening statement on KBON radio with announce Ed Morgan to his left. The opening film is “Beneath the 12-Mile Reef” and with stereo sound at launch, patrons used a blue speaker on the driver side and a grey speaker on the passenger side.</p>

  • <p>The Zebra was named after the local high school sports team and was completed in Sept. 1953. It had a miniature golf course, pony rides, a picnic area, and large concession stand. It had a promotional truck which was its main advertising method and sported a 45x90 screen.</p>
