  • <p>Don Forbes (Theatre Manager) and The Grove Pictures management treated the installation of CinemaScope at The Grove as a special occasion – To quote the local newspaper 22/5/56 – “CinemaScope was introduced to local audiences on Thursday night, when the President of The Yarrawonga Shire C.F.Keenan opened this new method of presentation. The district band played selections in front of the theatre, while many well known residents were guests of the management.   • <p>Established in 1976 by local volunteers for the P&C Association, the Drive-in Theatre is on of the few remaining open air picture theatres in Australia. It is still in use for special occasions and the committee is prepared to allow its use for groups (large enough to warrant) if prior notice or arrangements are made.</p>
