  • <p>Starlite Drive In was on the site of the current Sunset Drive In.  It burned down in the early sixty’s.</p>
  • <p>Every month the theaters would mail out a calendar of movies coming that month.</p>
  • <p>Opening announced in the Blue Ridge Post-Summit newspaper dated 29 June 1950.</p>

  • <p>Decatur Drive-In Grand Opening night with 2,000 cars coming but not enough spaces for them to watch “Pardon My Sarong” with Abbott & Costello on this night, July 30, 1948.</p>
  • <p>April 15th, 1949 grand opening ad</p>
  • <p>It’s July 28, 1950 and time for the second Decatur drive-in to launch. They’ll have “The Nevadan” and “Adventure in Baltimore.”</p>
  • <p>Changes in 1955 included a Mancovision aluminum screen and widescreen presentation to accommodate CinemaScope and other widescreen film formats.</p>
