UC Theatre Calendar

Eight week poster sized calendar for the UC Theatre, from the early 1980’s I believe. Landmark Theatres operated the UC with a calendar rep policy starting in the mid 1970’s. There were daily changes of double feature programs with an eclectic mix of programming that included classic films, foreign films, recent Hollywood hits, cult favorites and even an occasional hardcore porn double bill.

The calendars were available at the theatre as well as bookstores, record stores, restaurants and other establishments around town. I’d eagerly await each new program which would immediately be posted inside my closet door along with other Bay Area rep theatre calendars. It was a great time to be a film buff in the Bay Area!
