Am I wrong or was the last shot of the Sex and the City pilot outside this theatre? I remember this theatre fondly when I moved here from Ohio in the mid nineties.
I remember my Grandfather taking me to see “Friday the Thirteenth in 3D” at this theatre. Cool Guy huh? This theatre, and the entire plaza, is now torn down and gone.
I think I’m confused. Am I correct in thinking that the Embassy is on the North east corner of 47th, but the theater being used as a visitor’s center is on the south side of 47th? If so what is the former theater being used as a visitor center? I am curious, as inside they told me it was the embassy, but either they, or I, may be mistaken.
Perhaps one of the last views of the Greenwich… Sarah Jessica Parker meets the girls outside of the Greenwich in one of the first episodes of “Sex and the City”.
Very exciting, will be used as a new legitimate Broadway Theatre. http://nyti.ms/1IVfuyV

It definitely says Regal, and during a viewing of “Rent” I had a mouse run in front of my seat.
Has anyone seen the theatre in the hard rock? They claim to be restoring, are there any similarities to the original in space or materials?
