The Park Theatre opened on September 29, 1949. This ad from the weekly El Sobrante Herald of September 29 shows the complete opening week program for the Park. “Yes Sir, That’s My Baby"accompanied by a cartoon and shorts played Thursday to Saturday, "Mighty Joe Young” and shorts played Sunday to Tuesday and the double feature of “Slattery’s Hurricane” and “Rose of the Yukon” played the following Wednesday and Thursday.
