Allen Michaan ran the York in the 1980’s with a calendar rep policy, daily changes of an eclectic mix of double feature programs. Poster sized 8 week calendars were distributed at the theatre and in bookstores, restaurants, etc. Special programs such as the dual projector 3-D revival of “Dial M For Murder” on this program were exceptions to the daily program change policy and could play as long as a week.
