In '78, in the dinner theater era, I took in “Angel,” a musical version of Thomas Wolfe’s “Look Homeward, Angel,” starring Fred Gwynne (Herman Munster!) and Frances Sternhagen (Mrs. Marsh of Crest-ad fame).
