  • <p>This proscenium scene is called “The Birth of Light” shown here at opening in 1928. Julius Moessel painted the arched mural above the proscenium which had a dazzling light show before each film. Greek God Helios almost appears in motion as he’s guided by four winged horses, fairies with torches, and a variety of birds.</p> <p>But I’m sure the supermarket that replaced the Paraidse had its architectural charm as well!</p>
  • <p>The $5,000,000 Paradise interior was as breathtaking as its price with moving clouds on the ceiling within the “king’s garden” French Renaissance motif by John Eberson.</p>
