Take a look at the bird’s eye view and see how unusually the auditorium has been transformed :

Passed by Yesterday. Work is going on the building and it has been totally gutted. Only the façade was remaining, I suppose they’ll keep it. I wonder what the building will host after works.
The former auditorium, reportedly as having been in very bad shape, has been recently gutted and work are being done inside for the expansion of the Sports Bar.
On a recent visit, we discovered that the office building seems to be in the process to be converted into an hotel. Unfortunately, the auditorium has just recently been demolished.
Glad to hear that you’ve recently been inside JNic and ejb332 !
I’m looking to get more information about the Liberty for my project and would love to get in touch with the person who let you in. Since I can’t contact you here, may I ask you to send me an email via my profile ? Thanks a lot !
By the way, I can’t wait to see your pictures JNic !
We had a nice tour of the building by a man from the hardware store two months ago.
The original ceiling is still there behind the added ceiling but is pretty plain.
Here is a picture of one of the door frames that once connected the lobby to the auditorium : View link
On a recent visit, the friendly manager showed us the auditorium which is now used as storage space for the liquor store.
You can see what remains on this picture : View link
The auditorium kept some elements of decoration near the proscenium but the original decoration is still intact behind the drop ceiling.

Thank you for these great pictures Mickeymike ! Glad to see how it looks inside finally !
It looks in better shape than I would have expected, they could definitely save it.
May I ask you to contact me about the way you got inside ?
It would be a nice piece for my photography project. Moreover if it’s in danger.
RegionRat, great pictures ! The style inside the auditorium (ceiling) seems to be pretty unusual.
Like JRS40, can I ask you how you got access to it ? (just check my profile and send me an email via my website)
Thanks a lot !
Mikeymike, can’t wait to see your pictures too.
I went there last year, talked to a woman at the hotel next to the theater but didn’t got any information about its owner and how to get inside. Any help would be really nice !
Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing Joe.

Douglas, can I ask you how you got inside ?
I would love to have the oportunity to photograph it before its conversion into apartments.
On a visit to the Belasco theater in June 2008, it seemed to be undergoing a reconversion to a disco.

You’re right Ken, she’s Johnny Depp’s girlfriend.
French singer Vanessa Paradis' last video clip “L'incendie” was filmed inside the LA theater :

The building recently reopened as a furniture (+ various stuff) store. Some original deco and curtain still remains inside.
