Mountain Vu Drive-In
From the front page of the Cashmere Valley Record, May 26, 1955. The original, lengthy caption:
Huge screen construction is nearly complete at Cashmere’s new Vale Drive-In Theater. When completed it will be the biggest cinemascope screen east of the mountains. It is 40 feet high and 84 feet and four inches wide. Although not all of the Drive-In’s machines had been installed this week, Owner Ben Slowe hopes to be able to open in the early part of June. The new outdoor theater is one which he has contemplated building for three years, and its location on the highway between Cashmere and Dryden will be especially convenient for the people not only of our town but all of the upper valley. The Drive-In will be open seven months of the year and Slowe will operate in conjunction with the Cashmere Vale theatre. The very best of all new equipment has been purchased for the ventue, Brinkert machines and R.C.A. car speakers. -Record Photo
