The exterior features in the film Empire of the Sun about 11.5 minutes from the beginning. The pin on the map is of course wrong, it’s at the northern end of the road near Zhapu bridge.
The location shown on the map is incorrect. It was 0.7 mile further south along Barnsley Road. The Tesco Express can clearly be seen on the underlying map.

The position shown for this is also incorrect. It was at the top end of Parkway, probably on the site of John Lewis.
There a couple more articles linked to from this page

Although the articles title is about the Kinema most of it is actually about the Embassy.

The position shown on the map is incorrect, it was almost next door to John Lewis on Parkway. The correct position is marked as NHS. Although it was completely demolished the frontage of the new builing, Charter House, is very similar to the way it had been. I worked there as a relief projectionist in the late 70s.
The location shown on the map is incorrect. It was on the opposite side of St Albans Road West from the Swim Centre. The site is now a car park which is marked if you zoom in enough. The heating for the Forum came from the Swim Centre. I worked there as a technician from 1978 to 1981. During my time the projector was installed.
Location shown is wrong. Its now part of Browns and the original entrance has New Central Hall over it.

The location shown on the map is incorrect. It is at the south east end of the road, where Lifestyle Furniture & Carpets is shown.

The address for this cinema should be Welwyn, not Welwyn Garden City.
