The Lou Bunin version of Alice in Wonderland, which utilized stop-motion-animated characters with a live-action Alice. In many markets it was in a theater while Disney’s cel-animated version was in another. In Portland, however, Disney’s played in August 1951 (at the St. John, the Joy, and many others) while the Bunin version played in November.
