The theater was located in the Whitehall Shopping Center, which was in Brentwood. The SC was razed to makeway for a Giant Eagle and the Brentwood Town Centre SC.
After watching a “Stuff That’s Gone” documentary on our PBS affiliate, this was in the old Pittsburgh International Airport, which has been since demolished.
Nothing has been built on the site yet. The mall itself has been raized only within the past two years.

Excellent news!!!
Hopefully the trend continues! (Parkway, South Hills, New Granada, Roxian, The Garden and The Warner hopefully follow suit and reopen as well!!!!)
I found a picture of the Roxian on the inside (halfway the page)

I just saw Tesla here the other night. Nice theater, needs some renovating and TLC, but nice.
I wish Pittsburgh had a decwent concert hall like this.
I wonder if ebay or half.com would have copies of the Damron books…
Wish they would reopen the theatre as a dollar cinema or something. Monroeville has nothing! (Shame on you for closing!)
I did hear that they plan to reopen and remodel

A gorl at work told me that there is a church at the former site now :(
MLM- do you have a website so I can spread the word?
Does anyone know what is in the theater’s former locale?

I believe the theater survved through the 70s.
If you look closely at the picture I had posted earlier the marquee is for a concert by Journey. I’m guessing it was taken in the late 70s.
They have an official website now….
