@tomrog, It is weird how the Festival Center just became this ghost area now where nothing survives haha. I was a kid in the 80s and 90s, and that strip mall was one of the most popular places in Mobile. The Dollar Movies, as we called this place, was always busy, and I remember seeing Home Alone, Cool World, Jurassic Park, and so many other movies there. Hard to believe this place only lasted 12 years.
My Dad, whose father worked in real estate for decades in Mobile, said that it closed in “late 1990,” and that “Goodfellas” was the final movie playing when it was closed. Not sure when it was demolished. No way to verify this but, just thought I would share.

I must have watched the better part of 100 movies at this theater. Sad to hear it was demolished but nice to know its memory can live on here.
