  • <p>The Ohio was converted into a nightclub in 1935 and renamed the Mayfair Casino, but it failed in 1936, and remained closed for a number of years. In this photo of the crowds waitiing to see Mickey Rooney at the Loew’s State, the Ohio’s marquee is still set up for the closed Mayfair Casino but the title boards are encouraging passers-by to visit Loew’s State and Stillman Theatres.</p>
