The development is the Vanport Square building just to the north – a local film buff shows some of his collection of ephemera in the Old Town Pizza on Monday nights.
Silicon Sam – that’s it. The church’s main entrance is on the north side of the building, on Russell.
Just down Russell Street is the Wonder Ballroom, a former fraternal organization lodge turned music hall dating to 1914.
Yuki Japanese Restaurant is on the corner of 14th and NE Broadway, and the middle of the building is Milo’s City Cafe, an excellent place for brunch.
In previous incarnations, the building was Famous Bobs Pizza and Jamie’s (a faux-50s diner). The projection hole was visible from the dining room.
The building is still standing, but listed as a “warehouse”.
The building still exists and is the New Song Community Church.
