ANDERSON, IN — The owners of the State Theatre are actively seeking someone to purchase or lease (long term) the theater. The State is a classic style movie palace that seats 1250+ and opened for business on May 30th, 1930. It was the first theater built with air conditioning in the state of Indiana.

This theater has been sold to an investment group out of California. They intend to remodel it and operate it as a cinema and live venue .
