FLINT, MI — National Amusements has temporarily lowered ticket prices at its three first-run megaplexes in the Flint, Michigan market. For a limited time, ticket prices have been reduced to $6 for evening shows and $4 for matinees, seniors and children at the Showcase Cinemas Flint East in Burton, the Showcase Cinemas Flint West in Flint Township and the Cinema 10 in Flint Township.
It is believed the lowered ticket prices are due to the local economy as well as new competition with the NCG Trillium Cinemas in Grand Blanc Township.
More information can be found in The Flint Journal.

Wow, maybe AMC should do the same. $8.00 for a bargin price is crazy.
Flint has three theatres now? This is the same market where Michael Moore was unable to premiere one of his movies because it then had no movie theatre at all?
Actually, all the theaters in the Flint area are in the suburbs. The last theater in the city of Flint to close was the single screen Flint Cinema which closed in 1986. “Roger & Me” premiered at the Showcase Cinemas Flint East in Burton. There is a fourth National Amusements theater in the Flint area, the second-run Courtland Cinemas in the Courtland Center mall in Burton where all seats are $2.
A similar “price war” is going on in far-north Columbus Ohio. A Rave 16 and a Marcus 17 have a $6 evening rate. This has been going on for some time. Both are well run operations with excellent presentations.
