This Feb. 7, 1957 ad is from the Herald-American newspaper. It lists the weekend kiddie matinee as being 25 Color Cartoons. That may not sound like a big deal today, but back then TV’s were Black & White and many of the older cartoons that were on TV were from the 20’s. Kid’s TV programs played a lot of silent comedies.
Besides at about 7 min. each, 25 cartoons was over 2 full hours,and many kids sat through it twice - I usually did.
