AMC Park Cities Two Theatres
For much of the Preston Center 2 Theatres' run, it got the “feature” portion of the Dallas area’s AMC newspaper ad which either was a midnight show on the weekend or a big opening film. But by 1980, the audiences weren’t coming and the theater was relegated to $1 house sub-run status. So – as seen at far right – in November of 1980 – the theater took pages out of the Showcase Cinema 1&2’s playbook in nearby Farmers Branch and its own Greenway 3 in Houston by changing to an art policy under the theater’s new moniker of Park Cities Two.
