Cinema Entertainment Theaters was known in Maryville as the circuit that re-launched the Tivoli after the decades' old entertainment facility closed in 1973. Here, CET comes to the aid of Maryville once again as locals were chagrined when the long-running Dude Ranch Drive-In was replaced by a K-Mart in March of 1977. CET opened the South Cinema Drive-In opening with King Kong August 3, 1977.
