It’s December 16, 1949 and time for the Interstate Circuit to launch its 475-spot Park Drive-In to launch with “It’s a Great Feeling” and the Tom & Jerry cartoon, “Old Rockin' Chair Tom.” Jo-Jo, the clown, was at the $100,000 facility operated by Pat Hudgins. Opening in December meant year-round operation with in-car heaters and individual car speakers. The screen was said to measure 56' high.
