When you spend $20,000 on a Kimball Pipe Organ with Echo effect, you’ve got to get your money’s worth. The Alhambra did that as did the Paramount when it launched but only after refurbishing the instrument. In the upper left, the Alhambra does a benefit choir performance on February 12, 1915 to launch the theatre just prior to its gala grand opening. In the upper right, the Alhambra lands a big fish with “Birth of a Nation.”
