Fox Theatre
A couple of precursors to the Queen/State/Fox in Hendersonville. At left, it’s the Grand Theatre which regularly showed motion pictures in 1907 until its closure; in the center, it’s the Opera House which was in business even longer and – after being dark a bit - relaunched on April 5, 1919. And at the corner of Main and Third streets was the Rialto which opened June 16, 1919 and was home to the Queen Theatre for about a year until the newly remodeled Queen launched and knocked the Rialto out of business (even though both were operated by the same person).
