Rogers Theatre
In 1908. the city was “assured” of getting a $1 million, 5,000 seat Hippodrome complete with theatre and indoor wild animal exhibits. By 1912, the project had cooled to the C. Howard Crane architectural sketching that took an existing structure and mimicked the interior of the London Hippodrome still with theatre and animal exhibits at 225 W. Woodward. This Hippodrome theater opened on July 28, 1912.
