It’s election eve in America in 1940 as Wendell Willkie battles FDR. And the Royal Theatre in Nazareth has the political film short, “Meet Mr. Wilkie” as the candidate tries to pull off an Election Day miracle and wrest 36 electoral votes in Pennsylvania from FDR who was seeking a third term. But the power of film was not enough as Wilkie lost by about 7% in the Keystone State and lost the general election.
