The Rivoli was scheduled to open on September 27, 1926 with Constance Talmadge in “The Duchess of Buffalo” but that screening moved to the Gilbert Theatre when the Rivoli equipment did not arrive in time. The Rivoli’s grand opening took place on October 5, 1926 with Red Grange in “One Minute to Play.”
