The Gem Theatre hosted the film, “Battle Cry for Peace,” with a live orchestra on November 21-22d 1917. That was the film to have played in La Belle - just six miles away - at its Crystal Theatre the day it burned down a month earlier so this was the make-up performance. That’s dedication!
