The BB Cinema seen in 1950 (on a marked image which has been modestly restored). When it opened in December 1913, The Era reported the seating capacity as 1300 (all tip-up seats) and there was ‘standing room for several hundred more’! The projectors were Simplex. It was built by the Greenock BB Cinema Ltd, which had been incorporated in January 1913.
