A scary bad demolition effort goes awry - but fortunately it occurs at 6:45a on May 3, 1966. The Palace Theatre was razed from the inside leaving just the walls and protective temporary scaffolds to protect pedestrians. Not only did the walls fall in the wrong direction but the scaffolds were crushed when the demolition went sideways. Good news - no injuries and just a couple of witnesses to see it go wrong.
